“Super cozy little spot worth checking out. The owners are a couple that have put a lot of work into the place. They are midly control freaks with LOTS of little signs around telling you what and what not to do. It is such a warm feeling space laptops don't feel like the right thing to engage with.

“Their pop tart style pastries are amazing

“Rating is based on pandemic set up - the back patio is super nice, but not sure if they have wifi right now, and there are a very limited number of tables. Beer and wine

“Their guava poptarts are really good

“Perhaps my favorite cafe in all the world. You can't beat snagging a table along the window. Always a lot going on in the alley and inside. College staple.

“Mere and I had our first date here, very nostalgic

“Love the vibe, but not a lot of work space

“Great broadband. For some reason I just don't like their coffee. Mildly stiff vibes inside.

“This place is too cool for you. Yes, you. Great coffee, pretentiousness = 7/5. Currently no seats. B-Side (attached food) is lovely, though pricy.

“When wifi works its great, mornings are pretty packed but people are nice. Coffee isn't great but everything cheap AF

“This place always gives me a weird vibe. Their logo is too tall and skinny. The drink the Medici is worth getting though.

“Decent coffee, pretty good food options! I go for the Chicken Fried Steak in the morning and the Cabonera with Bacon noodles in the evening. Friends may clarifiy, "wait which one?" when you tell them to meet you at Cafe on the Ave

“IIRC they don't want you to work here, tryna get business. Diner food, bit too pricy, great in a pinch.

“Awesome place! A converted house with lots of little rooms. Real great place to plop down with a laptop and work a while.

“I can't remember anything good or bad about the coffee so it's probably decent.

“Super friendly staff, amazing pastries. Small menu up front lists things that aren't in the window. Matcha lattes are a little too sweet.

“Too noisy and mediocre coffee. All that saves this place is nostalgia and the espresso cream cheese brownie.

“Music not so bad in this location probably because ppl endlessly yelled at them about it. Only difficulty can be finding a spot.

“My favorite drink here is White Vanilla Mocha Cappuchino something something. Favorite food is breakfast sandwich.

“Lol I mean you got to admit they've got some options w/ their coffee and yeah you can cozy up in a nice leather chair with your laptop for a while.

“The coffee is actually good. Too crowded usually.

“They have every tool in the book to pull off amazing coffee, but it's still just "very good" imo.

“Awesome spot! Properly phenomenal food. They have breakfast burritos, pulled pork sandwiches, salads all very well done. Great space to work. Sometimes live music or comedy nights too.

“I haven't been to the new location but the old location on 17th was nice, a good place to work and the owner was always very friendly.

“Definitely part of a chain and it feels like it, but some good treats.

“I remember this place having odd hours in the past. I've only been there once or twice. It is cramped inside. Kind of the worst of all worlds for working on socializing.

“Some say the vibe here is weird. Feels like an art gallery. I personally love it.

“Absolutely lovely place to stop with a friend, sit outside and do some people watching. You MUST get the Cafe Niko espresso.

“There's something really cute about the sidewalk stand. Combine with a trip to the capitol hill farmers market for a perfect Sunday.
